Make sure you are aware of an urgent airbag recall effort.
Certain models built between 2001 and 2003 have airbags that can kill drivers with up to a 50% chance of rupturing. There are thousands of these vehicles on the road with lethal airbags still in them, particularly in South Florida.
Chelsea J. Lunn alongside Stephanie Grutman and Ana Cruz of Ballard Partners for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration‘s independent monitor are looking for coalition partners and community leaders that will work with them to educate the public and their constituents about this urgent public safety crisis. Their goal is simple, identify individuals with these dangerous cars and help them get their airbags fixed for free – no questions asked.
Again, they want to stress that these vehicles are not safe to drive for any reason. Our partnership will be critical as we work to save lives and hope we can count on your help to ensure the success of this public safety effort.
Thank you for your time. If you are willing to take one of these actions or discuss other potential partnerships please respond via email, or feel free to call Chelsea J. Lunn, Community Relations Manger at: (954) 599-8428.
