At our Imperial Point Civic Association Annual meeting, several voiced their concern about vacation rentals in the Imperial Point neighborhoods and the negative impact they have had on their personal well-being. City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor, Dean Trantalis, addressed this issue directly and summarized by saying the city has no authority other than code/noise violations. We would need to take this issue up with our State officials, Chip LaMarca and higher. To see who your local elected leadership is and how to contact them see our Local Government Connections. You can see more on the Home Rule Website
Vacation Rentals 30 days or less are required to register with the city. Check to see if the property has registered with the city. The listings provided on the city's web page are listed by Associations, so look for Imperial Point. If the property is not registered you can file a case with the city by following the below information. You cannot complain anonymously.
