City Tree Program

The program begins March 19th and there are only 378 trees being given out on a first come first serve basis. Early registration is recommended at https://arborday.org/fortlauderdale.

The City of Fort Lauderdale will be giving away 378 trees to help our neighbors reduce energy consumption, increase our tree canopy, and save money.

The Arbor Day Foundation's Energy-Saving Trees application, lets homeowners choose the right species and planting location in their yard to best lower energy costs. Homeowners are directed to a custom website where they use an online mapping tool that guides them to the ideal location to plant trees around their homes for maximum energy savmgs.

We partner with arborday.org for online requests. The submission tool will help you outline your property lines, determine where to avoid power lines and place your tree to maximize shade and energy savings.

The website provides the residents and City with data on the environmental and community impact of these distributed trees. Once trees have been reserved, the Arbor Day Foundation will ship trees directly to participants.

Imperial Point Civic Association's "Green Your Routine" Coordinator is Terry Delony. Terry's email: [email protected]

1st Place: $250
2nd Place: $175
3rd Place: $125
Proof of Purchase is required so please send a screen shot of order confirmation and a photo of you placing your trees in its new home to Terry Deloney at td6799@verizon  After receipt of this information he will submit the information to the City of Fort Lauderdale (Green Your Routine Office) so the association receives credit.
